The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the dates for class Xth and XIIth board exams to be held in the month of march, 2010.The class Xth and XIIth students are going to face Music and Physics respectively on 3rd march, 2010.Some students are not happy at this time since this year CBSE didn't released the answer sheet of toppers in board exams, 2009. The detailed date sheet can accessed after clicking on the desired class.
The countdown for the Board exams 2010 has begun. The last-ever Board exams for Class X will commence from March 3 with the music paper followed by social science on March 5. The exams for Class X will get over on March 31 with science practical skills paper. The first paper of Class XII - Physics will be on March 3 and the exams will continue till April 8.
The first exam for the commerce stream will be business studies to be held on March 4. Political science on March 5 will be the first main paper in the humanities stream. For Class X, these will be the last Boards to be conducted after the introduction of continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) in CBSE schools across the country. After the exams in 2010, Class X will be marked on a year-long basis instead of a one-time external exam.

The CBSE date sheet comes out with all the necessary features, such as, special mention about the board syllabus, i.e. it displays, whether the date sheet is for secondary, or higher secondary schools, next comes the subject names, followed with the subject codes, besides the mandatory date and time schedules of the examination that is going to be conducted. This is the pattern structure of usual date sheet that is being declared for the 10th and 12th standards, board exams and compartment exams. The board exams are usual public exams that are conducted for the 10th and 12th standards, whereas the compartment exams are conducted for the students, who have failed in the public examination. The students would be provided with 5 attempts to clear the examination provided with the constraint that the students have passed the internal assessments. But, recently the CBSE has introduced a new examination pattern, namely, the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), according to which the 10th standard students would not be having public examination, rather they would be evaluated based on the internal assessments. Hence, probably there might be changes in the CBSE date sheet structure pattern for the CBSE 10th standards in the coming years. Anyways, the CBSE has to be praised, as it handles many responsibilities such as:
